Welcome to Tamworth Sailing Club
Tamworth Sailing Club is a very friendly and welcoming club situated on the banks of a 45 acre lake within the picturesque Kingsbury Water Park. For relaxed sailors we have social sailing just for the fun of it, we have a thriving junior section, and for the more competitive dinghy sailor we hold regular weekend races for a variety of club trophies.
Sailing experience is not necessary as we offer RYA training courses designed to introduce you to sailing in a safe, supportive and enjoyable way. Sailing is something that individuals, couples, or all the family can take part in and we have regular sailors from 8 to 80+. Pop along to the clubhouse on a sailing day and speak to us to find out more. (Check our calendar for our sailing days - the weekend is the best time to call in as there are usually more people around).
Learn to sail with Tamworth Sailing Club
No previous sailing experience is necessary as the RYA Level 1 Start Sailing course is designed to introduce sailing in a safe, enjoyable and informative way. RYA Level 2 Basic Skills builds on the introduction and soon you will be sailing confidently on your own.
For 2024 we are offering a package of Level 1, Level 2, and Individual Membership for the season. There is an option to upgrade to Family Membership and a cohabiting spouse/partner would then qualify for the members discounted price.
We are a self help club so membership carries some obligations too but these are not onerous and a great way to meet new friends. Learning to sail at Tamworth Sailing Club is a very cost effective and enjoyable way to learn to sail and to gain your RYA qualifications.
We want to engage as many members as possible at the AGM on the 29th September. We would like your views on whether we should hold the AGM remotely via zoom, or an in person meeting at Tamworth Sailing Club. Could you please indicate your preference below:
